How will you get there?

Gallagher Educational Consulting supports school districts and schools with professional learning focused on transforming students’ educational experiences in the mathematics

classroom. We partner with system, school, and teacher leaders to create different, more equitable learning opportunities with a focus on students further from justice.


We will collaborate to create a shared picture of student experience and learning in mathematics classrooms that reimagines what is possible. We use a comprehensive approach through a studio model, instructional coaching and leadership learning that allows for work deep enough to create lasting impact.

Vision Creation

We will co-create a shared vision for student experience and learning grounded in explicitly named, shared beliefs about students. This vision will inform how we work together and will guide our learning.

Student Focus Groups

Student focus groups will be conducted with a focus on students furthest from justice. Data from these listening sessions help to identify themes and trends. Student voice and experience will be kept at the center of our collective work.

Teacher Learning

Teachers and leaders will bring the shared vision to life in an actual classroom with students. Through participating in a studio model, we will collaboratively design a lesson focused on the shared vision, teach the lesson, and reflect on practice as we build individual and collective efficacy. Instructional coaching will also be connected to the studio learning as a vehicle to support change in all classrooms.

Founder: Renee Gallagher

Renee is a passionate educator who brings considerable knowledge and experience in teaching, coaching and leading – in the service of helping each and every student realize their potential. Prior to working independently, Renee worked as a Project Director for the University of Washington’s Center for Educational Leadership where she partnered with schools and districts across the country.
